Why should you day cleanse?

When we give our body our break from consuming whole fruits and veggies and we switch to drinking the fresh juice, it gives our digestive system a break and it allows our body’s to easily absorb the nutrients we are taking in. When we give our body that break it gives the body the time to focus on healing itself and flushing toxins and waste out of you.
Did you know our body has the power to heal itself? You just need to give it a chance to do so. If we keep feeding our body unhealthy and processed foods we are not giving it the chance to keep us in good health. If you have trouble getting back into healthy eating habits a juice cleanse is a great way to start.

Before deciding if you want to do a 3 day juice cleanse the best thing to do is prepare your body for the fast and not just jump straight into it. (If you jump into the cleanse you may feel sick from the detox symptoms).
1.Start to consume more veggies and fruits and replace them with junk food from your diet.
2. Eat smaller portions than what you usually do just enough to satisfy your hunger.
3. Add more exercise into your daily routine. (walks)
4. Drink enough filtered water throughout the day (2-3 Litres)
Aim to drink a juice every 2 to 2.5 hours or whatever works best in your daily schedule. If you skip juices it will leave you hungry and could drop your blood sugar leaving you with a headache and feeling sluggish.
Breaking the cleanse:
When you're coming off the cleanse you will want to be gentle with transitioning back to solid foods.
Recommended:
-Continue with Celery juice in mornings
-Drink smoothies
- Eat small pieces of juicy watery fruit. (Watermelon, Cantaloupe, kiwi, Grapefruit, Oranges, Grapes)
You will want to really listen to your body and monitor each time you eat something. After you’re finished the cleanse you will really better understand if you have any food sensitivities and will be very easy to eliminate from your diet.
Focus on allowing your body and mind to relax. Keep track in a journal of how your day is going and how you’re feeling.
